Career Overview/ Highlight : Rahul Chahar IPL 2017 to 2024
One of the most consistent overseas pacers in IPL history, Rabada made his IPL debut in 2017, when he was bought for ₹5 crore by Delhi Daredevils. However, it wasn’t smooth sailing as he picked up just six wickets in as many games and missed out on the 2018 season due to an injury.
However, he returned in 2019 and became the ringleader of a fantastic pace attack acquired by the franchise, picking up 25 wickets. Next year, he grabbed 30 wickets as Delhi Capitals reached the finals. Meanwhile, Rabada went on to get the Purple Cap.
He endured a poor season next year, where he picked up 15 wickets and didn’t find a place in the retained list for the 2022 season. Punjab Kings acquired him for ₹9.25 crore in the 2022 IPL mega auction, where he picked up 23 wickets in his debut season.
