Career Overview/ Highlight : Matthew Wade IPL 2011 to 2024
Unlike some of his compatriots, Matthew Wade never had a superstar stature in the IPL. He made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils in 2011 and accounted for 22 runs in three games, only to return after a long gap of 11 years!
In 2022, Gujarat Titans signed him for ā¹2.40 crore on the back of a successful T20 World Cup campaign in the UAE, where Australia clinched the title. Wadeās game left a lot to be desired, and despite showing some brilliance, he scored just 157 runs in ten games. As a result, he warmed the bench throughout the 2023 season.
Matthew Wade has gone unsold in many IPL auctions since 2011. However, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings showed interest in him, and the Ahmedabad-based franchise signed him in the 2022 auction.Ā
Despite playing only 13 matches in IPL, Wade has winners and a runners-up medal in IPL.
