Hailing from a sporting family himself, Sai Sudarshan took to cricket as ducks take to the water. He made his IPL debut for the Gujarat Titans in the 2022 season, where he was picked up for ₹20 lakhs and made an impact immediately.
Batting with Shubman Gill, Sudharsan played the perfect second fiddle in the third game of the season as the Titans chased down a challenging total against Punjab Kings. However, he got limited opportunities with the middle order packed with big names. Nevertheless, he made full use of his talent, accounting for 145 runs in five games.
The Tamil Nadu youngster got more games in 2023, scoring 362 runs in eight games, which had three fifties, not to mention his sublime knock of 47-ball 96, which came in the final against CSK.

In 2021, Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted in praise of Sai Sudharsan after the youngster’s impressive performances in the Tamil Nadu Premier League that season.
