Career Overview/ Highlight : Shahrukh Khan IPL 2021 to 2024
Shahrukh Khan, the all-rounder from Tamil Nadu, made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings in 2021. A good Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the 2020–21 season ensured that multiple franchises go after him. He started at the base price of ₹20 lakhs and eventually ended up getting ₹5.25 crore.
Known for his superb finishing skills, Khan scored 153 runs in the 11 games he played in his maiden season. Nevertheless, the franchise showed faith and retained him for an even more significant amount – ₹9 crore – but his performance was not up to the mark in 2022, scoring 117 runs in eight matches at a lowly average of 16.71.
He had an ordinary season in 2023, and the franchise let him leave this time. It seemed that the 28-year-old might go unnoticed as he went into the 2024 auction, but fate had other ideas. Gujarat Titans picked him up for ₹7.4 crore.
