Career Overview/ Highlight : Tim David IPL 2021 to 2024
Tim David made his IPL debut in the 2021 season as a replacement for Kyle Jamieson. The RCB management failed to get the best out of him, as he scored just one run in his only game for the Bengaluru outfit.
He was let go, and his fate changed for good at the mega auction in 2022. As many as six franchises bid for him, but it was Mumbai Indians who snapped him up for a whopping ₹8.25 crore.
It was at Mumbai Indians that the Aussie showed what he was capable of. This Singapore-born Australian turned out to be one of the cleanest strikers of the ball, slamming maximums from deep inside his crease. He scored 186 runs in eight games with a spectacular strike rate of 216.28.
In 2023, he was even better, slamming 231 runs in 16 games. So far, he has held his position as a pinch hitter lower down the order, giving his side a strategic advantage in the death overs. He was retained for the 2024 season by the Mumbai Indians.
