Career Overview/ Highlight : Faf Duplessis IPL 2012 to 2024
Faf du Plessis was bought by CSK for ₹60 lakhs for the 2012 season, thanks to some outstanding batting for South Africa. He quickly became one of the most reliable batters in the Yellow Brigade until the franchise received a ban in 2015, after which he moved to the Rising Pune Supergiants.
In 2018, CSK, after its re-arrival in the IPL, bought du Plessis for around ₹4 crore. He started to open the innings and took to the position like a duck takes to water. He played a crucial role in CSK winning the title, as he amassed 633 runs in 16 games.
In 2022, he moved to RCB and became the skipper, where his consistent run continued.
