Career Overview/ Highlight : Bhuvaneswar Kumar IPL 2011 to 2024
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, hailing from Meerut, had a slow beginning to his IPL career. He was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2009 and 2010 seasons but didn’t get a single game. Meanwhile, in the 2011 season, after just four games for the new franchise Pune Warriors India, his IPL career began to take shape.
Bhuvneshwar played 11 games in the following season and picked up eight wickets, but from 2013 onwards, he showed excellent progress. In 2014, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹4.25 crore, and his career started to blossom.
The white-ball expert, who has taken 170 wickets in IPL, is an excellent seamer who can seam the ball both ways. Although his death bowling has come under fire, he can be lethal with the new ball. Perhaps that is the reason Sunrisers Hyderabad never let go of him.
